          Couscous has 100 to 120 calories per cooked half cup, along with complex carbohydrates, B vitamins, and minerals. Whole-wheat couscous also contains 3 grams of fiber, lots of phosphorus, potassium, and zinc.

          • 1 medium head cabbage
          • 2 small onions
          • 1 cup sugar
          • 1 cup vinegar
          • 1 teaspoon sugar
          • 1 teaspoon mustard
          • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
          • 1 teaspoon celery seed
          • 1 cup salad oil

          1. Shred cabbage, and slice onions, separating into rings. Place alternating layers in a large bowl, and cover with the cup of sugar.
          2. Bring to a boil the vinegar, teaspoon of sugar, mustard, salt and celery seed, then add salad oil and bring to boil again.
          3. Pour mixture over cabbage and onions. Cover tightly and let stand 24 hours in refrigerator.
