          Serves 6 to 8

          [edit] Ingredients

          • 4 pounds brisket of beef
          • 3 large onions
          • salt and pepper to taste
          • dash Worcestershire sauce
          • garlic salt
          • 1/4 cup steak sauce
          • 1/2 cup water
          • 1/2 cup chile sauce
          • 1/2 cup ketchup

          1. Slice onions into bottom of roasting pan.
          2. Rub salt, pepper and garlic salt all over meat, and place on onions, fat side up.
          3. Combine remaining ingredients, and pour over entire brisket.
          4. Roast uncovered in 350° oven for 1 hour, basting frequently. Add more water, as necessary.
          5. Cover the roasting pan and roast another hour.
          6. Cool.
          7. Slice meat into thin slices and put back in gravy.
          8. Roast, covered, until tender, about 1 hour. Serve.
