If a soup or stew is too salty, add raw cut potatoes and discard them once the dish has cooked as they will have absorbed the salt.

- 3 tablespoons grated onion
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons water

- 3 tablespoons salad oil
- 1/2 teaspoon MSG (optional)
- 3 or 4 dashes hot pepper sauce

- Mix all ingredients together in a small saucepan and heat.
- Simmer for a few minutes, and then allow to cool.
- Use as desired for barbecue.
